Sunset over Minors Castle Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore

Minors Castle in Pictured Rocks National lakeshore. Sunset on a perfect Fall Day! Located in the upper peninsula of Michigan on the south shores of Lake Superior. Between Munising to the left and Grand Marais to the right.

This is the view of Minors Castle from the paved trail that meanders down to the viewing area where the cover photo was taken. This view gives you a good perspective of the height and wave erosion of the sandstone at water level.

While walking down the paved handicap accessable path to Minors Castle, you can turn and look to the east to see the main shoreline of Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore. To the right in this photo you can see Bridle Vail falls meandering down the sandstone cliffs. These Falls are only visible from here or boat. Or from looking over the edge of the cliff??
